Your photo never leaves this device. To check, open your browser's developer tools, choose Network, and crop a photo: no request carries it.

Use this page when no preset fits. Enter a width and a height and SnapCut makes a crop frame in that exact shape. Pixels run from 16 to 8192 on each side, and the output may be at most 25 million pixels, so 5000 x 5000 is allowed and 5001 x 5000 is not.

For a print or a form that asks for a physical size, choose millimetres, centimetres or inches and set the DPI. SnapCut turns the length into pixels with exact arithmetic and shows the result: 35 x 45 mm at 300 dpi is 413 x 531 pixels. The DPI is written into the file only for a physical size.

A message beside the field names any value that is not allowed, such as a DPI that would make the image wider than 8192 pixels, and the field returns to its last good value. A comma and a point both work as the decimal mark, so 3,5 cm is the same as 3.5 cm.

Typing in a size field leaves any preset behind and selects Custom. You can go back at any time through the Platform list, which holds every platform size and passport size. The cropping always runs on your own device.
